About Gold

Gold is a precious metal known for its beauty, durability, and resistance to corrosion. It’s measured in karats (k), with 24k being pure gold. However, pure gold is too soft for most jewelry and is therefore usually alloyed (mixed) with other metals.

Different colors of gold are achieved through different alloys. For example, white gold is often alloyed with nickel, palladium, or silver, and rose gold contains copper.
